Formed in the year 1996, Skillet is a rock band from the city of Memphis, Tennessee in The United States of America. The band’s current line-up consists of John Cooper as the lead vocalist, Korey Cooper – John’s wife, as the rhythm guitarist, keyboardist, and backing vocalist, Jen Ledger as the drummer and Seth Morrison as the bassist. To date, Skillet has released ten albums, out of which two were nominated for the Grammy’s. The band is known for being hard-working because of they are non-stop touring. Skillet was started as a side project by the lead vocalist and founder John Cooper and former guitarist and founder Ken Steorts. They met each other while on tour with their respective bands back in the day. Once their groups broke up, they decided to form a band themselves and named it Skillet as a joke.
