The Eagles Information
The Eagles is an American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1971. The group’s current lineup includes Don Henley, Joe Walsh, Timothy B. Schmit, Deacon Frey, and Vince Gill. The Eagles released its self-titled debut studio album in 1972. The album brought enough success for the band.
In 1973, The Eagles released another studio album entitled, Desperado. The album peaked at number 41 in the United States. The very next year, in 1974, the group released another studio album, On the Border. The album produced a top 40 hit for the Eagles entitled “Already Gone.” It also produced the number one song in Canada and the United States entitled “Best of My Love.” The single also reached the top 15 in Australia.
The Eagles’ fourth studio album, One of These Nights, became the band’s first number one album in the United States and top 10 albums in many other countries. The album was also the group’s first breakthrough. Other studio albums released by the Eagles include Hotel California (1976), The Long Run (1979), and Long Road Out of Eden (2007). In 1998, the Eagles were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. They were also honored with the Best Selling Album of the Century by the Recording Industry of America on December 7, 1999.
