James Travis Tritt (February 9, 1963) is an American country music artist born in Marietta, Georgia, U.S. In 1989, he joined Warner Bros. Records, and between then and 1999, he released seven original albums and the biggest hits collection for the label. Throughout the 2000s, he dropped four full-length albums: three for Columbia and one for the extinct Category 5 Records. In 1990, Tritt released his first studio album titled "Country Club," which featured the top 40 hits "Help Me Hold On" and "I'm Gonna Be Somebody. The RIAA has awarded platinum status to the album. The second studio album by Tritt, titled "It's All About to Change," arrived to critical acclaim and commercial success. Some of the most popular songs on the album are "Here's a Quarter (Call Someone Who Cares)" and "Anymore." According to the RIAA, "It's All About to Change" has sold over two million copies. Tritt has won two Grammys, each for Best Country Collaboration with Vocals, for his work with Marty Stuart on the songs "The Whiskey Ain't Workin'" (1992) and "Same Old Train" (1998, with nine other artists). He has been a part of the Grand Ole Opry since 1992 and has won four awards from the Country Music Association. Cory Marks' 2019 country rock smash "Outlaws & Outsiders" features a guest appearance from Travis Tritt.

Essential Event-Day Checklist

Before You Leave

  • Digital Tickets: Download tickets to your phone's wallet now. Venue Wi-Fi is notoriously unreliable.
  • ID Check: Bring a valid photo ID; many venues require it for entry or "Will Call" pickup.
  • Bag Policy: Most venues enforce clear bag policies or limits (typically A4 size or smaller). Check the specific venue site to avoid being turned away.
  • Cash & Cards: While many venues are now cashless, bring some cash as a backup.

Pro-Tips

  • Power Up: Bring a portable power bank. Using your phone for video and ride-sharing will drain your battery fast.
  • Hearing Safety: Use high-fidelity earplugs to enjoy the event while protecting your hearing.
  • Hydration & Energy: Eat a full meal and stay hydrated beforehand.

Dress for Success

  • Footwear: Wear broken-in sneakers or boots. You could be standing for 3–5 hours; avoid new shoes.
  • Layer Up: Wear light layers (flannel or light jacket). Venues can range from chilly to very hot.
  • Style: Be yourself, but it always helps to have pockets or a small crossbody bag to keep essentials secure and hands-free.

Logistics & Safety

  • Arrive Early: Get there 60 minutes before doors to beat the merch and security lines.
  • Transport: Pre-book your ride share or scout parking garages in advance to avoid post-show surges.
  • Stay Safe: Identify your nearest exit upon arrival and designate a meeting spot for your group.
