Twice Information
Twice is a South Korean girl group. The current lineup consists of Tzuyu (vocalist and dancer), Chaeyoung (vocalist and rapper), Dahyun (vocalist and rapper), Mina (vocalist and dancer), Jihyo (vocalist and leader), Sana (vocalist), Momo (rapper, dancer, and vocalist), Jeongyeon (vocalist), and Nayeon (dancer and vocalist). In 2016, Twice had unprecedented success at home with their single "Cheer Up," which reached number one on the Gaon Digital Chart, was named the year's best-performing single, and was named "Song of the Year" at both the Melon Music Awards and the Mnet Asian Music Awards.
Their third extended play, Twicecoaster: Lane 1, featured the hit "TT," which spent four weeks at the top of the Gaon charts. The #Twice compilation album was released in Japan for the first time on June 28, 2017, under Warner Music Japan. With the best first-week sales of any K-pop artist in Japan in the past two years, the album debuted at number two on the Oricon Albums Chart.
In October, Twice dropped their first original maxi single in Japan, "One More Time." It was the first time a Korean female group received platinum certification from the RIAJ for an album and a CD single released in the same calendar year. They became the first Korean girl group to tour Japan in a dome in 2019 and placed third in the Top Artist category in Billboard Japan's 2017 Year-end Rankings.
