Whiskey Myers is an American Southern rock/Red Dirt/country group based in Palestine, Texas. The Band was founded in the year 2007 by two friends Cody Cannon and John Jeffers, who invited their co-workers and relatives to join their group as a band. Members of the group include Cody Cannon, Cody Tate, John Jeffers, Jeff Hogg, Tony Kent, and Jamey Gleaves.
In the beginning, they chose to call themselves ‘Lucky Southern,’ but after a while, they decided to persuade the band more seriously and started playing shows around their hometown and building a following on the Texas/Red Dirt scene.
The Whiskey Myers released their debut studio album ‘Road of Life’ on July 15, 2008. In the following third year, ‘Firewater’ was released as their second album by Wiggy Thump, which debuted in the Top 30 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. The band’s fourth album ‘Early Morning Shakes’ was released on February 4th, 2014, which gained positive reviews from the public. Whiskey Myers released their fifth album ‘Mud’ on September 9, 2016, which reached No.1 on the charts. ‘Stones’ reached No.9 in all genres, being the song of the album ‘Mud.’
The group announced their most recent album ‘Whiskey Myers’ on September 27, 2019, by Wiggy Thump, which made a sale of U.S $42,000 to date. Whiskey Myers has done a sum of 7 music videos for their singles, which include ‘Ballad of a Southern Man,’ ‘Anna Marie,’ ‘Virginia,’ ‘Home,’ ‘Dogwood,’ and ‘Stone.’
