Big3, often stylized as BIG3, is a 3-on-3 basketball league. This league was founded by an actor and hip-hop musician known as Ice Cube, along with Jeff Kwatinetz, an entertainment executive. Big3 consists of twelve teams in total whose rosters involve both NBA former players as well as international players. The inaugural season of the league was played in 2017. Its headquarters are situated in Los Angeles, California, and is scattered in 18 different venues. The rules set-up for the Big3 games includes some major deviations as compared to the original rules of 3-on-3 basketball, which is under the administration of FIBA. In January 2020, the Big3 league announced a new set of rules. This set of rules would be the core of a brand-new variant of basketball named "Fireball3,"; often stylized as FIREBALL3. The eight teams included in the Big3 in its inaugural year were; 3 Headed Monsters, Ball Hogs, 3's Company, Ghost Ballers, Killer 3's, Trilogy, Power, and Tri-State. In the year 2019, the Big3 expanded into a twelve teams league to which Bivouac, Enemies, Triplets, and Aliens were added. The teams included in the Big3 are all "barnstorming" teams. They do not represent any geographical regions or cities even. After the 2019 expansion, the league visited two cities each week and played a total of three games in each city. In the year 2017 and 2018, the Big3 featured a post-season in August, which was of two weeks. It included a championship game and a semifinals round. The winners were awarded the Julius Erving Championship Trophy.
