Milwaukee Brewers Information
The Milwaukee Brewers are an American professional baseball team. The team is based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and competes in Major League Baseball (MLB) as a club member of the Central division of the National League (NL). The Brewers are named after the association between the city and the brewing industry. The team has been playing its home games at Miller Park (capacity of 41,900) since 2001. The former home ballparks for the Brewers are Milwaukee County Stadium (1970–2000) and Sick's Stadium (Seattle) (1969). Seattle Pilots was the former name given to the team in 1969.
The Milwaukee Brewers was founded in 1969 as an expansion team of the American League (AL). The team opted for gold, white, and navy-blue colors for its uniform. The Brewers is the only team to play in four divisions since the divisional play advanced in Major League Baseball. The official mascot of the team is Bernie Brewer.
The Milwaukee Brewers appeared only once in the World Series (1982) and lost the title. They have earned 1 AL Pennants (1982), 2 NL Central Division titles (2011 and 2018), 1 AL East Division titles (1982), 2 Wild card berths (2008 and 2019), and none of the NL Pennants.
The franchise inducted the following players into the Hall of Famers; Hank Aaron, Rollie Fingers, Trevor Hoffman, Paul Molitor, Robin Yount, and a few more. Bob Uecker won the Ford C. Frick Award. Also, four of the team players won the MVP awards. Christian Yelich earned the national League Batting title in 2018.
