About Modesto Nuts

The Modesto Nuts is an American Minor League Baseball team. The time is aligned in the Low-A West North Division as an affiliate of the Seattle Mariners. The team is currently located in Modesto, California, and was also founded there in 1946. The Nuts plays its home games at John Thurman Field, which opened in 1955. They adopted their current name in 2005 after their affiliation got ended with the Oakland Athletics. The Nuts is owned and operated by Seattle Mariners/HWS Baseball IV, LLC. The Nuts has changed its name many times since its formation, such as Modesto Reds (1946-1961), Modesto Colts (1962-1964), Modesto Reds (1966-1974), and Modesto A’s (1975-2004). The team hosted the 2011 California/Carolina All-Star Smash on June 21, 2011. The team has three mascots, including Shelley the Pistachio, Wally the Walnut, and Al the Almond. In 2017, the Nuts won the California League Championship, where they swept both the League Series and the Division Series. The Modesto Nuts has won 9 league titles in 1950, 1954, 1959, 1966, 1972, 1982, 1984, 2004, and 2017, and 3 division titles in 2004, 2012, and 2017.
