St. Louis Cardinals are a professional American baseball team based in St. Louis, Missouri. The team was established in 1882 with the name St. Louis Perfectos. They are a member club of the National League’s Central Division. William DeWitt Jr. owns the franchise, and John Mozeliak is the President of baseball operations. Their name was changed often during 1882-1899, such as St. Louis Browns and St Louis Brown Stockings. The Cardinals are also known as The Cards, The Redbirds, and The Birds (nicknames). They play their home games at Busch Stadium (also known as New Busch Stadium or Busch III), located in Downtown St. Louis.
The Cardinals’ official uniform jersey consists of Cardinal red, midnight navy blue, yellow, and white colors. The home jersey is mainly white, while on the road jersey is represented with slight grey. The team’s mascot is an anthropomorphic cardinal named Fredbird, assisted by Team Fredbird (a group of women entertaining fans from dugouts).
The Cards have won various titles from major leagues. They have won 11 World Series, 19 NL Pennants, 4 AA Pennants, 11 Central Division, 3 East Division, and 3 Wild Card berths.
