Cirque du Soleil Crystal Information
Crystal (Cirque du Soleil) is one of the arena touring shows that began previewing in October 2017. The official premiere of Crystal came out in December 2017. It is the 42nd original show by Cirque du Soleil since 1984. Crystal was directed by Shana Carroll & Sébastien Soldevila and was the very first show that happened on an ice rink. The performance performed while ice skating through-out most of the show. It is a contemporary circus that was choreographed by Geneviève Dorion-Coupal.
Crystal describes a woman named “Crystal.” She is trying to discover herself in a world full of possibilities with her shattering reality being lost, alone, and misunderstood. Once upon a time, she was wandering on a frozen pond and fall through the ice — her fall ended-up in a parallel yet an imaginary world of her own where her reflection met her.
The creative team of the Crystal (Cirque du Soleil) was joined by Kurt Browning (a Canadian figure skater who is a four-time world champion) as a Senior Designer. He was accompanied by Benjamin Agosto (as a Skating Performances Designer), who is also an American, four-time world medalist for ice skating.
The music for the Crystal (Cirque du Soleil) was performed as follows; Cyrille Aimée performed "Beautiful Day" (cover by U2), Gabrielle Shonk played "Halo" (by Beyoncé), Betty Bonifassi performed "Sinnerman" (cover by Nina Simone), and Ariane Moffatt performed "Chandelier" (by Sia).
You may have to bring some extra clothing to avoid the cold atmosphere during the show. Crystal can be enjoyed with your entire family except for some dark moments and loud noises that may terrify kids.
