About Impractical Jokers

The American hidden camera reality show Impractical Jokers features improvised comedy routines. The Tenderloins' James "Murr" Murray, Brian "Q" Quinn, Sal Vulcano, and the late Joe Gatto made their television debut on truTV on December 15, 2011, in the NorthSouth Productions–produced comedy series Impractical Jokers. The tenth season begins the series' concurrent airing on TBS. Every episode consists of a string of dares, with the cast member (or "joker") getting a thumbs up or down, depending on how well he does. After nine seasons, Joe Gatto announced his departure from Impractical Jokers on Instagram on December 31, 2021. Not long after that, Quinn said that Impractical Jokers would keep working in 2022 even though Gatto wasn't there and offered well wishes to Gatto on behalf of Murray and Vulcano. Then, according to Paste, "several episodes featuring Gatto in compromising situations" were pulled from TruTV and HBO Max. The show unveiled the season's schedule of famous visitors on February 14, 2022. In commemoration of the show's tenth season, the borough of Staten Island formally designated the first Monday of February as "Impractical Jokers Day" on February 6, 2023.
