The rock musical Jagged Little Pill, by Academy Award-winner Diablo Cody, was inspired by the 1995 Alanis Morissette’s album of the same name. In the musical, the Healys are struggling to keep face like things are picture-perfect while in reality, they are falling apart. The premiere was directed by the Tony Award-winner Diane Paulus and went ahead to get nine Grammy Award nominations; winning five including the Album of the Year category.
