Sesame Street is a children's television series adapted for live performance by Roundroom Live with the permission of Sesame Workshop, a presentation known as Sesame Street Live. Founder Vincent Egan established the VEE Corporation in March 1980 to create a live-character program reminiscent of Sesame Street. He has experience working with the Ice Follies tour, which included a Muppet part. In September 1980, the Metropolitan Sports Center in Bloomington, Minnesota, hosted the inaugural Sesame Street Live performance for five sold-out days. VEE lost profits in Bloomington due to underwhelming attendance at the following five sites.
