About Stephen Colbert

Stephen Tyrone Colbert (May 13, 1964) is an American stand-up comedian, writer, producer, political commentator, actor, and TV host. He is most well-known for running the talk show 'The Late Show with Stephen Colbert' since September 2015 and the satirical Comedy Central show The Colbert Report from 2005 to 2014. In 2006 and 2012, Colbert was among Time's 100 Most Influential People. In 2007, his book I Am America (And So Can You!) came in the top position on the New York Times Best Seller list. On Comedy Central's Tha God's Honest Truth, Colbert also serves as executive producer. Colbert and fellow talk show hosts Seth Meyers, Jimmy Kimmel, and John Oliver started running the comedic podcast Strike Force Five on August 30, 2023, to assist their staff members out of absence due to the 2023 Writers Guild of America strike.
