Ashley Nicolette Frangipane (September 29, 1994) is "Halsey." She is an American singer and a popular songwriter. Halsey is from Edison, New Jersey, U.S. She generally plays pop, electropop, and alternative pop music genres. At the age of 14, she began to play the violin, viola, and cello. Later Halsey shifted to the acoustic guitar during the same age. She attempted suicide at the age of 17 that led her to stay in the hospital for 17 days. She got diagnosed as bipolar during this period. Halsey graduated from Warren Hills Regional High School. Halsey began writing music for the first time when she romantically fell in love with a managed 24. Her official career began when she was 17. In 2012, Halsey began posting videos to her social media, including Kik and YouTube, under her teen name se7enteenblack. A parody of Taylor Swift's song "I Knew You Were Trouble" became the reason for her fame. She later played many acoustic shows in a variety of cities under different stage names. Room 93 was her debut extended play, which was released on October 27, 2014. Some of her hit studio albums are Badlands (August 28, 2015), Hopeless Fountain Kingdom (June 2, 2017), and Manic (January 17, 2020).
