Cincinnati Reds Information
The Cincinnati Reds is an American National professional baseball team that is based in Cincinnati, Ohio. The team actively competes as a club member of the National League (NL) Central division in Major League Baseball (MLB). The Reds joined the NL in 1890 and were the charter members of the American Association (1882). The team's current ballpark is Great American Ball Park, whereas some former ones are Riverfront Stadium, Crosley Field, Palace of the Fans, League Park (II), Bank Street Grounds, and a few others.
The Reds was formerly known as Cincinnati Redlegs (1954–1958), Cincinnati Reds (1890–1953), and Cincinnati Red Stockings (1882–1889). Big Red Machine is the nickname given to the team. The Reds are famous for their uniform color; red, black, and white. The official mascot of the Reds is Mr. Red. (Gapper, Rosie Red, Mr. Redlegs).
The Cincinnati Reds have won 5 World Series championships, 9 NL pennants, 1 AA pennant, 10 division titles (7 NL West Division titles, and 3 NL Central Division titles) with 1 Wild card berth in 2013. The team has hosted the Major League Baseball All-Star Game five times, once in 2015 at Great American Ball Park, twice in 1970 and 1988 at Riverfront Stadium, and again twice in 1938 and 1953 at Crosley Field.
The team also offered several team members to be inducted into the Hall of Famers, including Christy Mathewson, Eppa Rixey, Barry Larkin, Sparky Anderson, Joe Morgan, Rogers Hornsby, and many more. Some of the members who received
