New York Rangers Information

The New York Rangers are another professional ice hockey team that is based in New York City. The team is a member of the Metropolitan Division of NHL’s Eastern Conference. Madison Square Garden is the home arena to the team where it plays its home games. The home arena is located in the borough of Manhattan and shared with the New York Knicks of the NBA. The New York Rangers are one of the three teams that are located in the New York metropolitan area.

Founded in 1926 by the famous Tex Rickard, the Rangers were stated to be one of the Original Six teams that played in the NHL before it got expanded in 1967. The team is the first franchise in the NHL that won the Stanley glory trophy in 1928. The Rangers are famous for blue, red, and white uniforms. It has won 4 Stanley Cups, 2 Conference Championships, 3 Presidents' Trophy, and 7 Division championships.

Several players of the New York Rangers were added to the Hockey Hall of Fame, including Buddy O'Connor, Chuck Rayner, Messier, Andy Bathgate, as well as other 50 former members and nine sport builders.
