The Miami Marlins are one of the American professional baseball teams that are based in Miami, Floria. The team competes in MLB (Major League Baseball) as one of the National League (NL) East Division members. They play their home games at Marlins Park. The team has also played its home games initially at Hard Rock Stadium from 1993-2011. The team began operations in the year 1993 as Florida Marlins (1993-2011). Their nickname, The Fish, often calls them.
Marlins are the only franchise that has never lost a playoff round in all the major leagues, including NFL, NHL, MLB, and NBA. The team defeated the Cleveland Indians’ American League (AL) champion during the World Series in 1997. They are the only team to win two World Series in their inaugural winning seasons in 1997 and 2003. Color themes for the Marlins’ uniforms are Miami Blue, State Grey, Midnight Black, and Caliente Red.
Giancarlo Stanton won the Most Valuable Player (NL) in 2017. Chris Coghlan (2009), Hanley Ramirez (2006), Jose Fernendez (2013), and Dontrelle Willis are the players who have won the Rookie of the Year award. The Marlins have won 2 World Series titles, 2 NL Pennants, and 2 Wild Card berths. Apart from these achievements, the team also holds several other records.
Billy the Marlin is the official mascot for the Miami Marlins. The team has inducted several players to the Hall of Famers, including Trevor Hoffman, Tim Raines, Ivan Rodriguez, Mike Piazza, Tony Perez, and Andre Dawson.
