Ottawa Senators Information

Ottawa Senators is a professional ice hockey team founded in 1992. It is based in Ottawa, Ontario. The team plays its home games at the Canadian Tire Centre  The Senators are members of the Atlantic Division of the NHL’s Eastern Conference. Eugene Melnyk owns Ottawa Senators. The franchise was valued by Forbes magazine $345 million in 2018.

The Senators chose red, black, gold, and white to represent their uniform colors. The official mascot of the team is an anthropomorphic lion, provided by Spartacat. Away jersey of the team is mostly white with red and black while the home jersey is primarily red with white with black trim. They have won a total of 4 Division Championships (1998-99, 2000-01, 2002-03, 2005-06), 1 President’s Trophy (2002-03), and 1 Conference Championship (2006-07).

The honored members of the Ottawa Senators team for the Hockey Hall of Fame include Roger Neilson (Senator’s assistant coach and head coach) and Dominik Hasek (Senator’s goaltender). Bryan Murray was induced as Ring of Honor.

The Senators have been awarded several trophies, some of which are; Princes of Wales Trophy (2006-07), NHL Plus-Minus Award (2005-06), King Clancy Memorial Trophy (2011-12), Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy (2016-17), and several more.
