They also played their home games, formerly at Recreation Park (1883-1886), Baker Bowl (1887-1938), Connie Mack Stadium (1938-1970), and Veterans Stadium (1971-2003). The team was founded in 1883 as Philadelphia Quackers. They were also known as Philadelphia Quackers/Phillies through 1884-1889 and eventually became a Philadelphia Phillies in 1890.
The Phillies have won overall 7 NL Pennants, 11 East Division titles, and 2 World Series titles so far. Since 2009, the Phillies have won 9,035 games out of 19,035 games played.

The Phillie Phanatic is the official mascot for the Philadelphia Phillies. It is a large green bird with an extendable tongue.
