Seattle Seahawks is an American professional football team that is based in Seattle, Washington. The team competes as a member of the National Football Conference (NFC) West Division in the National Football League (NFL). The team was founded on June 4, 1974. The Seahawks joined the NFL as an expansion team in 1976. They have been playing their home games at CenturyLink Field since 2002.
Previously they have played at the Huskey Stadium and Kingdome. The Seattle Seahawks are the only team that is based in the Pacific Northwest region of North America. Still, the franchise has its wide fan base not only all across America but also outside America, including Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Saskatchewan, Alberta, and British Columbia, respectively. The team is owned by Paul G. Allen Trust, Jody Allen is the chairman, and John Schneider acts as a General Manager for the team.
The official color theme for the Seattle Seahawks uniform is wolf grey, action green, and college navy. The Seahawks are the only team that has played in both AFC and NFC championship games. Overall, the team has won three conference championships and ten division titles, which means they have been doing well over the years since the operational time. The Seattle Seahawks have played Super Bowl championships three times in its history, winning one out of three in Super Bowl XLVIII, where they defeated Denver Broncos by 43-8. Boom. The San Francisco 49ers, Denver Broncos, and Carolina Panthers are the long-standing rivals for the Seattle Seahawks.
