About Tom Segura

Tom Segura (April 16, 1979) is an American actor, podcaster, writer, author, and stand-up comedian. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. Tom spent his childhood summers in Lima, Peru, so that he could learn Spanish. He completed his education at Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, North Carolina, and Saint Edward's School in Vero Beach, Florida. He took too much GHB when he was 19 and went into a coma for a while. After completing his studies at Lenoir-Rhyne University, Segura began doing stand-up comedy. Tom Segura became widely known in 2016 when his Netflix special Mostly Stories introduced his sharp, laid-back comedy style to a huge audience. He had been doing stand-up for years, but that special helped launch him to a new level. His humor is honest, sometimes dark, but always funny in a very real way.
