Noah Kahan Information

Noah Kahan (January 1, 1997) is an American singer and songwriter best known for his folk-infused pop music. He was born in Hanover, New Hampshire. Kahan began to write songs at the age of 8. He uploaded all of his song material to SoundCloud, which helped his music gain popularity. He started working with his school friend music producer, Cwenga Matanzima, at the age of 17. He rejected the opportunity to get admission to Tulane University because he wanted to pursue his music career.

Kahan named some of his musical inspirations such as Mumford and Sons, Hozier, Counting Crows, Cat Stevens, and Paul Simon. He signed a record deal with Republic Records in 2016, where he began to work with Joel Little, a producer known for his work with Khalid and Lorde. In January 2017, Kahan released his first single entitled “Young Blood,” which gained more than 9 million streams.

Kahan released the lead single “Hurt Somebody” in September 2017. The lead single was from the album of the same name, released in January 2018. He announced his debut full-length album on April 8, 2019, entitled, Busyhead.

Kahan opened for Anderson East and Ben Folds in the United States in February 2017. In March 2017, he went on to open for Milky Chance. He embarked on a tour to support the North American tour of George Ezra in April and May 2018. Some notable singles of Kahan include “Come Down,” “False Confidence,” “Mess,” “Cynic,” and “Pride.”
