Las Vegas Raiders Information
The Las Vegas Raiders is an American professional football team that is based in the Las Vegas metropolitan area. It was previously based in Oakland. The team competes as a member of the American Football Conference (AFC) West Division in the National Football League (NFL).
The franchise was founded on January 30, 1960. The Raiders played their first season game on September 11, 1960. As the team was initially located in Oakland, on March 27, 2017, the Raiders’ application was approved to relocate the team to Las Vegas. They got their official approval on January 22, 2020. They have played their home games at Oakland Coliseum, Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, and eventually, they will be playing home games at Allegiant Stadium. Mark Davis owns the franchise.
The official color theme for the Las Vegas Raiders’ uniform is silver and black. The initial three years of the Raiders operations were not much impressive, and they failed to perform well on-field. These years were the toughest for the franchise as they went through spotty attendance, and they also faced financial difficulties.
The team reached the postseason for the first time in their life after many years of struggle and improvements. The Raiders have won only the AFL Championship throughout 1967. They had been to the Super Bowl II, but the Green Bay Packers conquered them soundly. Raider Rusher is the official mascot for the Las Vegas Raiders.
Los Angeles Chargers, Denver Broncos, and Kansas City Chiefs are the rivals for the Raiders. The Las Vegas Raiders have inducted several players into their Hall of the Famers list, including Jim Otto (1980), Mike Haynes (1997), Gene Upshaw (1987), Bob Brown (2004), and many others.
